A Guide to Inverz Cards and Decks

An Introduction to Inverz

Introduced to the game by the Raid of The Inverz Duel Terminal, the Inverz archetype is a brand new deck-type for the YuGiOh! Trading Card Game. If the current trend continues, of publishing exclusive Duel Terminal cards 2 sets at a time, in the TCG English-Language Hidden Arsenal series, then these Inverz cards should appear in Hidden Arsenal 5, sometime in late 2011. This should be accompanied by further cards in a regular booster at around the same time.

The Inverz monster cards revealed so far are all Dark attribute Fiends. The scary part for duelists thinking about taking up the Inverz archetype is the o DEF that most of the so-far-unveiled Inverz monsters have, leaving them vulnerable to pierce and all sorts of other nasties. Most of the effects trigger when tribute summons are made. Inverz Gasath - see below - particularly looks interesting and the extra summon afforded by Gatekeeper of the Inverz could be a staple of the deck.

The strategy of Inverz will clearly evolve around tribute summoning quickly, so expect to include cards like Mystic Tomato and Ultimate Offering in an Inverz Deck. Dark Armed Dragon also fits in nicely. Will Inverz make it into the metagame?
