YuGiOh! Worm Deck Guide

The Worm Archetype in YuGiOh!

The early Worms have been around YuGiOh! for a while now - all insect-type monsters that have gradually dripped out over the years. However now, via the Japanese Duel Terminals, a new Archetype of Light Attribute Reptile-type Worms has begun to appear. The first Worm cards appeared for the YuGiOh! TCG in the first Hidden Arsenal pack and were followed up by further inclusions in The Shining Darkness.

Twenty-six Worm Monsters are known of, including those from further Duel Terminals, not yet released in English - one for every letter of the alphabet from Worm Apocalypse through to Worm Zero, making them one of the largest group of monsters in the game. However, what there has been so far is very little Spell and Trap support for them (only Worm Call). In the meantime, they rely on familiar Light Deck support. Many Worm Monsters use Flip Effects and give the player hand advantage through extra draws and deck searches. Succesfull Worm Decks would probably involve Worm Zero and Future Fusion.

Read on for more Worm Archetype resources including featured cards, videos and a complete listing of all Worm cards known so far.

Hey I made a great worm deck and played 10 different players. I won 9/10 games. Worms are pretty good but for the most part 75% of them suck. If you want to build a good worm deck you need to focus around getting strong worms to the field. Worms are also great because you can search your deck for the worms you need. (I lost to a Remove from play deck)

i think worms r eppic. my tip is future fusion then send as meny monsters as possibel to the grave like about 20 of them then use three pot of avrice so u can return 15 monsters to the deck and u draw 6 cards a brilliant combo

i would try to figure a way for only "worm" monsters cause a worm deck should not need other cards

if you really want a good reptile type worm deck DON'T focus on the good effects because you are just relying on the luck of the draw. i say just take one of each reptile type worm monsters along with the spell and trap cards so your not relying on just a few cards! you can pretty much try any strategy you want.
